Panamas by Pachacuti
The story behind a Pachacuti Panama.
Timeless and unique in design, a Pachacuti Panama hat combines sustainability, history and luxury.
Pachacuti Panama hats are woven from natural straw sourced from community-owned plantations, where they have been sustainably harvested for more than a hundred years.
The hats are made by artisans living in remote Ecuadorian communities high in the Andes, using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations.
Pachacuti, a Fair Trade certified organisation, aims to empower women, working directly with women's cooperatives in Ecuador where weavers carry out the entire production process from weaving to finishing a Panama.
By encouraging fair working practices and paying a fair price Pachacuti is helping to make a real difference to the lives of artisans, their families and communities.
